The Winchester 535776212, also known as the Winchester XPR, is a game-changing rifle designed to surpass the performance needs of a modern-day hunter. Engineered to be rugged and reliable, this innovative rifle is a tool to land game in your freezer for years on end. The XPR bolt-action rifle is teeming with features that epitomize the enduring quality of Winchester Repeating Arms.
The heart of each XPR rifle is Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System. Constructed from polished, hardened carbon steel with a blued finish, the trigger housing and all internal parts demonstrate heightened durability and corrosion resistance. The two-position safety, easily operated by the thumb of your firing hand, is located just in front of the safety button. While the safety is on, the bolt release button lets the action cycle unfired cartridges. The bolt shroud's cocking indicator provides both a tactile and visual reference for the rifle's cocked/uncocked status.
Constructed from chromoly steel barstock, the robust XPR bolt survives the process of through-hardening during heat-treatment. The bolt design consists of three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift, one that improves scope clearance when cycling. Enhanced by a durable nickel Teflon coating, the bolt operates smoothly and resists corrosion. The trigger guard and magazine frame are a one-piece design, providing a large guard opening for those using gloves.
The XPR rifle comes with a chromoly steel barrel that has been precisely button-rifled, delivering remarkable accuracy across a range of bullet weights and types. The barrel is an entirely free-floating design that eliminates pressure points that could hamper accuracy. Additional features of the XPR rifle include a drilled & tapped chromoly steel receiver, a synthetic stock fitted with an Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single-stack box magazine.
