The Browning 035545288 X-Bolt sets a new standard in rifle engineering, incorporating numerous advancements over previous Browning models. At the heart of its design is the innovative three-lever Feather Trigger, which delivers a smooth, sharp pull with minimal take-up or creep and limited overtravel. The X-Bolt's unique free-floating design, wherein the front and rear of the action are bedded, ensures stability and maintains consistent barrel to stock spacing for superior accuracy.
The muzzle's recessed crown serves a dual function: it preserves the rifling and mitigates damage, enhancing the rifle's longevity. A noteworthy addition is the Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Unlike regular pads, it is built using proprietary materials that direct recoil forces away, reducing the impact on the shooter's face and lowering felt recoil and muzzle climb.
A bolt unlock button, paired with the top-tang safety, enhances the rifle's safety, making checking and unloading the chamber more secure.
