Introducing the Browning 035540227: the X-Bolt, an improvement on Browning's earlier rifle models, secures a top spot with myriad enhancements. One of the primary upgrades to the X-Bolt is the new three-lever Feather Trigger that supplies a neat, sharp pull with negligible overtravel, no take-up or creep.
The X-Bolt's design optimizes accuracy and stability, achieved by free-floating the rifle via bedding the action at both the front and rear. Additionally, consistent barrel-to-stock spacing is maintained, which further aids in accurate shooting. The rifle also features a recessed muzzle crown, a design aimed at protecting the rifling from potential damage.
The inclusion of the Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad is another key feature, with its unique build and material reducing felt recoil and muzzle climb. It does this by directing recoil forces in such a way that the stock comb is pulled away from your face. This significantly enhances the user's comfort and safety while shooting.
To ensure an extra layer of safety during the checking and unloading of the chamber, the X-Bolt sports a bolt unlock button that works in tandem with the top-tang safety.
