The rifle boasts a two-position safety, conveniently located in close proximity to the safety button. A distinct advantage of the XPR is the cocking indicator on the bolt shroud that provides both a tangible and visual representation of the rifle's cocked/uncocked status. The design of the bolt features three front locking lugs alongside a short 60-degree lift that significantly increases scope clearance. A nickel Teflon finish ensures sleek operations and superior protection against corrosion.
The Winchester XPR benefits from a unified trigger guard and magazine frame design. The chromoly steel barrel is meticulously button-rifled to deliver exemplary accuracy, compatible with a diverse range of bullet weights and types. The barrel's free-floating nature ensures the absence of any pressure points that could potentially compromise accuracy.
