At the very center of every XPR rifle is Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System. Fabricated from hardened, polished carbon steel with a blued finish, the trigger housing and internal components deliver durability and corrosion resistance. The two-position safety is conveniently designed for easy thumb-operation from your firing hand. The bolt release button, situated just in front of the safety button, allows the action to cycle unfired cartridges even while the safety is on, while the cocking indicator provides both a tactile and visual reference of the rifle's cocked/uncocked status.
Constructed from chromoly steel barstock and through-hardened via heat treatment, the robust XPR bolt has three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift. This design optimizes scope clearance whilst cycling. The bolt is enhanced with a sturdy nickel Teflon coating for smooth operation and increased corrosion resistance.
The XPR features a one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design that accommodates use with gloves comfortably. The button-rifled chromoly steel barrel promises outstanding accuracy with a range of bullet weights and types, and is entirely free-floating to prevent any accuracy compromising pressure points. Other significant features include a drilled & tapped chromoly steel receiver, a synthetic stock with an Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single stack box magazine.
