The Winchester 535727299 XPR Rifle is an ingenious firearms solution designed to exceed the needs of even the most exacting modern hunters. This robust, efficient weapon guarantees results for many years, providing you with a reliable source of provisions. Packed with features, the XPR bolt-action rifle is a true testament to the enduring quality that is synonymous with Winchester Repeating Arms.
The core of each XPR rifle is Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System. Every element of the M.O.A. trigger, down to its housing and internal components, is fashioned from polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish, which ensures longevity and corrosion resistance. A conveniently positioned two-position safety allows easy operation with your firing thumb.
Notably, even with safety engaged, the action can cycle unfired cartridges. This is possible thanks to the bolt release button, placed strategically adjacent to the safety button. In addition, a cocking indicator located on the bolt shroud offers a tactile and visual cue of the firearm's cocked or uncocked status.
The XPR bolt, made from chromoly steel barstock and hardened through heat-treatment, presents a resilient design with three front locking lugs and a short 60-degree lift, enhancing scope clearance during cycling. To ensure smoother operation and enhanced corrosion resistance, the bolt is coated with a durable nickel Teflon.
A unique feature of the XPR is the one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame, which boasts a wide opening for gloved usage. The precision of the XPR rifle is bolstered by its chromoly steel barrel, which is button-rifled to deliver exceptional accuracy across a range of bullet weights and types. Notably, the barrel is free-floating, removing any pressure points that might impact accuracy.
The XPR rifle also comes equipped with a drilled & tapped chromoly steel receiver, a synthetic stock outfitted with an Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single stack box magazine.
