At the core of every XPR rifle is Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System. All components, including the trigger housing, are comprised of polished and hardened carbon steel, featuring a blued finish for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. Additionally, the rifle incorporates a conveniently located two-position safety that can be easily operable with the thumb of your firing hand. Furthermore, an action cycling bolt release button is conveniently situated just in front of the safety button, allowing for easy cycling of unfired cartridges even when the safety is engaged. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both a visual and tangible aid, signaling the rifle's cocked or uncocked state.
The resilient XPR bolt, made from chromoly steel barstock, is through-hardened during heat treatment. It provides three front locking lugs along with a short 60-degree lift, optimizing scope clearance during cycling. Encased in a durable nickel Teflon coating, the bolt promises smooth operation and ensures enhanced resistance against corrosion. The rifle also features a one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design, allowing for greater accessibility when using gloves.
Accuracy is a fundamental feature of the XPR. Its chromoly steel barrel is button-rifled to ensure exceptional accuracy with various bullet weights and types. The barrel is entirely free-floating, eliminating any pressure points that could compensate accuracy. The XPR is also equipped with a drilled & tapped chromoly steel receiver, a synthetic stock with an Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single stack box magazine, providing you a complete package for your hunting needs.
