Weatherby MBT20N257WR8B: Welcoming a new era of the revolutionary Backcountry clan, the Backcountry 2.0 Ti advances upon the iconic steel Weatherby Mark V motion with several significant enhancements. The first obvious modification is the inclusion of the featherweight Peak 44 Blacktooth carbon fiber stock, the lightest of which weigh less than 20 ounces. This comes with a cutting-edge 3DHEX recoil pad. Tucked within the pad are rows of interlocking spaces that incrementally compress during recoil, prolonging the recoil impulse duration and reducing the harsh impact of magnum chamberings.
The streamlined fluted barrel employs Weatherby’s Accubrake ST, while exaggerated spiral fluting on the bolt body not only shaves off a bit of weight but also decreases bearing surface within the action, resulting in a more fluid function.
