If you have never heard of the Taurus TS9, don't worry, most haven't! The TS9 is the culmination of years of innovation, product testing, and Taurus' guarantee to consumers to deliver a reliable, robust, and affordable sidearm. This particular pistol has only been offered overseas for the past few years, but rumor has it that it will be coming to American shores sometime this year. The TS9 is a striker-fired 9mm full-size pistol that features a 17+1 capacity. This pistol features Taurus' Dual Trigger Safety Security System that, upon engaging, blocks the trigger from being activated by the user. This incredible pistol also features aggressive serrations on the front and back of the slide along with a traditional 3-dot sighting system. This pistol also features an ambidextrous slide release.
The TS9 has seen service in various nations police forces and military organizations and has been ever increasing in popularity. Taurus was recently awarded a police contract with the Philippine National Police Force (PNP). The PNP put the TS9 through its paces with rigorous product testing as multiple pistols were chosen at random from each batch. The product tests consisted of subjecting the TS9 through harsh temperature tests to check function. Next, the handguns were proven safe through various drop tests. If that wasn't enough, the PNP decided to shoot a minimum of 20,000 rounds through each pistol, and reportedly, there were zero failures.
