The Steyr SSG 08 represents an epitome of precision and performance in the realm of rifles. Conceived in line with the standards of Austria's elite EKO COBRA anti-terrorism squad, this rifle caters to specialized purposes in highly challenging settings. Each unit of the SSG 08 boasts of a system comprised of a folding Eloxal-coated aviation-grade aluminum stock, complete with a monopod adjustable at the rear.
Esteemed for its versatility, the stock also showcases a horizontally and vertically modifiable cheek piece, along with a recoil pad which can be horizontally varied by including or excluding spacers and vertically tailored by shifting the pad on its own. A personalized grip comfort is ensured by the pistol grip, which can be customized using a range of interchangeable back straps, thereby fitting any hand size and offering an optimized grip quality.
The SSG 08 encompasses a 20-MOA Picatinny rail gracing the action while the forend facilitates the fixture of short Picatinny rails on either side. The base of the stock also accommodates a UIT rail, providing the scope for accessory attachments like a handstop. The package also offers a newly devised bi-pod and dresses the entire platform in an impressive black finish.
