Manufactured in Spain by Star Bonifacio Echeverria, S.A., the Star Model B is an interesting piece of history available at a reasonable price. It gives you all of the cool points of a 1911, while keeping ammo costs low. Comes with one 8 round magazine. These pistols are C & R Eligible.
Visually reminiscent of the Colt 1911, the Star Model B has a classic style that appeals to the John Moses Browning fan in all of us. There are several differences between the guns, most obviously caliber, as the Star Model B fires the more economical 9x19 mm, and lack of the grip safety.
But the famous Browning design still shines through in the look, feel, and operation of Star pistol. Star Model B's are so similar to the 1911 in appearance, chances are your favorite movie scene featuring the 1911 probably starred a Star Model B instead, as they were widely used in the film industry for prop guns due to the cost and availability from the 1960's on.
The Star Model B is a single action, short recoil pistol, manufactured with an all steel frame and slide, checkered wooden grips, manual safety, and an 8 round magazine.Please Note - Any reviews attached to this sku are very old reviews based on a previous and very different lot of pistols.
