The Spyderco C08S is a versatile tool, mimicking the efficiency and precision of a Harpy eagle's claw. Its hawkbill blade design, originated from the marine and fishing industry, lends itself perfectly to making quick, controlled pulling cuts, especially when it comes to severing ropes, lines, webbing or nettings at arm's length. Thanks to its curving arc, the cutting object is held against the sharpened edge, preventing it from slipping off the blade's tip.
This knife features an ingenious locking lever dent developed by custom knifemaker David Boye. This design ensures the blade stays securely locked open while applying force on the handle. Additionally, the handle houses a thoughtfully designed shackle key/drying vent. This allows air to circulate around the wet, closed blade, promoting faster drying. To top off its practical design, the Spyderco C08S also features a metal clip positioned for convenient tip-down carry.
