The receiver of this pistol is constructed from 7075 T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy, ensuring durability and longevity. Furthermore, the Zytel polymer frame is designed to include an integral recoil cushion on the backstrap, adding to its user-friendly attributes.
The slide is manufactured from stainless steel, complemented by a Zytel overmolded polymer extension for ease of operation. The SCCY CPX-2 is a DAO model, which comes equipped with an internal hammer with an inertial firing pin, as an added measure to prevent accidental discharge.
The pistol has a polished, consistent 9-pound trigger pull. The package includes two 10-round magazines, each with finger extensions bases installed and two flat magazine bases for a diverse user experience. With the Gen 3 model, more features have been added to the CPX-1 including a picatinny rail, upgraded sights and an elegantly improved grip.
