The pistol's framework is made from Zytel polymer and boasts an integrated recoil cushion on its backstrap for user comfort and control. Additionally, the slide is constructed from durable stainless steel and covered with a Zytel overmolded polymer extension, providing ease of operation.
Featuring a Double Action Only (DAO) mechanism, the CPX-3 is equipped with an internal hammer and an inertial firing pin, providing an added safety measure to prevent accidental discharges. Its trigger pull is consistent and smooth, set at roughly 9 pounds of weight.
