From Ben's Private Collection - Russian M91/59 Mosin Nagant Rifle, 7.62x54r, Bolt Action, All Matching, Exc Cond, Ser # 5109, C& R Eligible

This Firearm Will Be Posting In January 2025 - Beautiful M91/59 Mosin Nagant Rifle - This rifle looks great inside and out with a beautiful very light maple colored wood stock. Stock has a couple of small dings where it has bumped up against something... probably another rifle with a sharp edge in the safe... but is still extremely nice. The stock also has the original Russian markings on the receiver including the double date stamp 1891/59. Bluing is not perfect but shows just enough wear to show character... and it is the original finish. This is a very rare hex receiver model. All serial numbers factory match but it does have in very small print from the importer the re-number that it was sold under which is M915900859. Now for the best part. The bore on this rifle is pristine, bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. It should be an absolute tack driver even at very long distances. The rifle was imported many years ago by Century Arms and it has a very small almost un-noticeable import stamp on the bottom of the barrel below the cleaning rod. I have been proud to have this rifle in my collection and I'm sure that you would enjoy having in yours. I have never fired this rifle but it dry functions properly and is 100% intact. The rifle ships wrapped in bubble wrap for maximum protection. The M91/59 Mosin Nagant was the very last configuration of the Mosin Nagant rifles making this variation rare and hard to find. This one also has a hex receiver making it even more rare. Similar to the M91/30 but with a shortened barrel, 7.62x54mmR cal., bolt-action, 5-shot fixed magazine fed individually or by the use of stripper-clips, with blued finish, 20.2 in. barrel topped with range-adjustable rear sight and hooded front sight, hardwood stock.  39.9 in. OAL, 7.5 lbs. Weight.  Re-manufactured in Bulgaria 1959 until discontinued. I kept this one because it was so nice. Now, I'm letting it go. All sales are final on this rifle. This rifle is C&R Eligible. The back story. Over the last 30 plus years in the gun business I have acquired some really nice surplus firearms. These guns came from Gun Shows, private collections, and private individuals that I have met along the way, as well as, on occasion, what I would deem as the best of a particular lot when it came in here to Classic. Well, all good things must end and at this point in my life it is time to downsize a little and that includes letting go of some of these "Gun Safe Queens" that I have typically only pulled out to clean ever so often. Now don't get me wrong, there was a time when I would not have even considered giving up one of these firearms as they have been very special to me. However, my daughters show no interest in inheriting them, and I've decided that I would rather see them in the hands of folks that would relish them, than to have them to continue sit in a dark safe here at Classic. Each gun from my private collection is unique and they will sell individually by serial #, so when that gun is gone, it is gone and irreplaceable. At least from me.
