Ruger 8542: This fantastic rifle from Ruger is chambered in 5.56 and features a matched 7075-T6 hard-coat anodized aluminum receiver set. This particular rifle features a cold hammer-forged alloy barrel with 1:8" twist rifling that provides exceptional accuracy. Also featured on the barrel is a proprietary Ruger flash suppressor that features a matte black oxide finish to reduce glare and provide corrosion resistance. Covering the barrel is a lightweight 13.5" aluminum handguard that is free-floated for accuracy and features Magpul M-LOK accessory attachment slots along the 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 positions. The top rail has been docked in the center for improved grip access and reduced weight while maintaining Picatinny at the front and rear. This fantastic rifle is ready to mount the optics or accessories of your choice. The mid-length gas system featured on this rifle provides flawless operation and reduces felt recoil for the shooter. This rifle ships with one 30-round Magpul PMAG.
