The Ruger 26917 is part of Ruger's American Rifle range which provides impeccable accuracy, contributing to the success of every hunt. The rifle has a single-piece, three-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw. This design allows ample scope clearance and employs a full diameter bolt body along with dual cocking cams to facilitate smooth, effortless cycling.
Another available feature is the Power Bedding - a patent-pending, integral bedding block system. This mechanism effectively positions the receiver and free-floats the barrel to achieve superior accuracy. A combination of a classic design and modern modifications is seen in the ergonomic, lightweight synthetic stock that's paired with a soft rubber buttpad. This offers easy, fast handling while also featuring forend contouring and grip serrations for enhanced usability.
The American Rifle series also includes a Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger, a cold hammer-forged barrel, and a tang safety for improved shooting convenience and safety. The Predator model, in particular, is designed with a heavy tapered, threaded barrel and a single-piece aluminum scope rail. Specifically tailored to fit the needs of left-handed shooters, this model uses 7mm-08 Remington ammunition.
