The RCBS 31301 is a two-die set designed specifically for the reloading of bottleneck cases. This set includes a Full-Length Sizer Die complete with an Expander-Decapping Unit, and a Seater Die furnished with a Bullet Seater Plug.
The function of the Full-Length Sizer Die is to adjust the case to the Saami minimum cartridge dimensions. This is achieved by sizing the outer part of the case, de-priming it, and expanding the neck to accommodate the bullet. Constructed with venting features, the die safeguards against potential case damage caused by trapped air and excessive lubricant. By maintaining headspace to minimum tolerances, the Full-Length Sizer Die ensures the case body length remains consistent during full length sizing.
Also included within the set is the Seater Die, which is integrated with a roll crimper for added convenience. This allows for the bullet to be secured in position at the same time it's seated.
