The RCBS 17701 encompasses a two-die set, formulated specifically for the purpose of reloading bottleneck cases. This set comprises a Full-Length Sizer Die, equipped with an Expander-Decapping Unit, and a Seater Die that comes with a Bullet Seater Plug.
The Full-Length Sizer Die is designed to reconfigure the case to Saami minimum cartridge dimensions. It masterfully recreates the exterior of the case, de-primes, and expands the neck for the bullet to be accommodated. The die is constructed with vents that inhibit potential damage to the case instigated by trapped air and prevent lubricant overload. Furthermore, it ensures the headspace is maintained within the minimal tolerances to prevent alterations in the case body length during the full-length sizing process.
The Seater Die, included in the set, comes with an integrated roll crimper. This feature not only secures the bullet but also seats it simultaneously.
