The RCBS 12601 is a two-die set specifically designed for use in the reloading of bottleneck cases. Included in this set, you'll find a Full-Length Sizer Die accompanied by an Expander-Decapping Unit, along with a Seater Die that comes with a Bullet Seater Plug.
The Full-Length Sizer Die functions by conforming the case to Saami minimum cartridge dimensions. Through this process, the die sizes the case's external structure, de-primes it, and expands the neck to accommodate the bullet. Incorporated into the die's design are vents which serve to protect against damage to the case through trapped air or over-lubrication. It also strictly manages headspace to negligible tolerances, which ensures the case body length remains unchanged during full length sizing.
Provided as part of this set, the Seater Die boasts an integrated roll crimper. This useful feature works by both seating and securing the bullet in one swift action.
