Primary Weapons System 18-M14RA1B: One of PWSs more budget-friendly models, this rifle uses the same long-stroke adjustable piston system found on their other rifles, just with a standard AR lower instead of their fully ambidextrous receiver. Make no mistake; this is still a great rifle, extremely reliable and robust. The 14.5" barrel is pinned and welded with their PWS FSC 556 muzzle device, so the overall length keeps the barrel within rifle limits but keeps the profile shorter than a standard AR barrel. The FSC muzzle brake is excellent at keeping both muzzle rise down and flash suppressed. The barrel is 1:8 twist which has been found to keep most bullet weights stable during flight. The 13" M-Lok rail is their design, and very sturdy, capable of keeping IR devices and iron sights zeroed in all situations. With enough room to mount all your other necessary accessories as well. You can change out the trigger if you want, but why would you when PWS supplies an enhanced mil-spec trigger that has been PTFE coated, making the trigger break cleanly at 5.5-6.5 lbs. Perfect duty trigger designed for hard use. The furniture supplied on this rifle is some of the best in the business BCM gunfighter grip & stock is highly durable and comfortable. Included on this rifle with PWSs enhanced buffer tube and ratchet lock castle nut and endplate. The buffer tube is channeled to remove weight, and the proprietary rachet system eliminates the need to stake the castle nut. The endplate also incorporates a QD sling mount. The cherry on top of this rifle is the Radian Raptor charging handle, arguably the best charging handle on the market today.
