Most semi-auto civilian variants of the incredibly popular MP5 submachine gun are still relatively cost prohibitive for the average shooter. That's why Tisas is introducing their all-new MAC 5 and MAC 5K 9mm pistols, two of the most affordable MP5 clones available for purchase in today's market.
New for SHOT Show 2024, the MAC 5 and MAC 5K offer shooters the proven reliability of the MP5 platform in a modern, semi-automatic configuration with tons of features from the factory. Each model comes in at well under the price of competing MP5 clones and utilizes the same roller delayed blowback system as the MP5 submachine gun.
These pistols are compatible with most aftermarket MP5 parts and accessories. Moreover, both guns already ship with a premium case, two 30-round magazines, a cleaning kit, a tri-lug flash hider, trigger lock, and manual.
The standard MAC 5 has a full-length 8.9" button rifled barrel and a reinforced glass filled polymer grip, with a two-position selector switch that allows shooters to alternate between safe and semi-auto fire mode. At first glance, it looks like the genuine article and handles just as well as other MP5 clones we've tried.
Similar to the MP5K, the MAC 5K pistol is a shortened variant of the standard model, with a 5.8" button rifled barrel and a Castle-style adjustable rear sight. The foregrip also features an integral hand stop for optimal positioning of the support hand when firing.
We were thoroughly impressed with these faithful semi-auto reproductions of the classic MP5, from the look and feel of each gun to the very affordable price point.
