The Diamondback SDR: A New Working Man's Revolver

Diamondback's Brand New Self Defense Revolver

The Diamondback SDR was developed for shooters who are seeking an affordable, purpose-built snubnose revolver for everyday carry and deep concealment. As such, many parts have been optimized for self defense, including the low-profile fiber optic sights and push-button cylinder release.

With a six-round capacity and a two-inch barrel, the SDR offers plenty of firepower in a compact package.  A stunning polished stainless steel finish protects the gun from wear and tear, plus black rubber grips help absorb recoil for enhanced comfort during extended range sessions.

This revolver has a smooth DA / SA trigger pull and an easy-to-cock spurred hammer for firing in single-action mode. And weighing in at 21.2 ounces, it is light enough to carry all year, but has enough heft to manage the .357 Magnum round.

Move Over, Ruger!

Until now, revolver enthusiasts have only had a few options for budget-friendly revolvers chambered in .357 Magnum. Brands like Taurus and Rock Island Armory have a few solid offerings, albeit without as many bells and whistles. Consequently, the Ruger SP101 has been the only handgun to truly bridge the gap between entry-level revolvers and more expensive models, delivering premium features without the premium price tag.

The Diamondback SDR aims to fill that gap in further by redefining what a value-tier EDC revolver should be. Fiber optic sights instead of the traditional gutter sight system, a positive push-button cylinder release that is easy to use, and overmolded rubber grips from the factory - Diamondback sets a new standard with the SDR that other manufacturers will have to follow if they want to keep up.
