SHOT Show is winding down and the Classic Firearms team has selected our picks for the top 5 new guns unveiled this week. Continue reading to discover which handguns and long guns we're most looking forward to shooting in 2024.
To be considered for this list, each new firearm must offer something truly fresh and innovative. This could be a novel feature (like a lever gun capable of sub-MOA performance) or even a combination of features that yields a better value than other products currently on the market. Without further ado, here are the top 5 new guns of SHOT Show 2024.
Old-school aesthetics meet modern functionality in the Henry Lever Action Supreme, a stylish box magazine-fed lever gun with a free floated barrel and an adjustable match-grade trigger. The best part: it takes existing Magpul PMAGs and offers sub-MOA capabilities.
Like most shooters, we'll eagerly try any firearm with the Taran Butler seal of approval. The Classic Firearms team already loves Canik's line of semi-auto pistols and having a production gun with several enhancements from the team at TTI is surefire way to have a blast at the range. This lightweight pistol-caliber carbine from NEMO utilizes a tilting barrel low recoil design and features ambidextrous controls. Additionally, it is available as a carbine with a folding stock or in a pistol configuration. The Mongoose accepts CZ Scorpion mags (OEM and PMAGs) as well as most AR-style grips and trigger modules.
Although Taurus just released their first bolt-action rifle, it was the latest addition to the Executive line that truly caught our eye. The 605 Executive Grade revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and features a 5-shot cylinder, smooth DA / SA trigger pull, and a spurred hammer. Compared to other revolvers in today's market, this model offers a great balance and an amazing value.
The revamped H9 pistol from Daniel Defense may technically be an update to an existing design, but it is exciting nonetheless. Since taking over production of this innovative semi-auto handgun, Daniel Defense has developed several critical improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
