The SIX8 A5 is a seamless blend of LWRCI's Enhanced and SPR models, bringing together the best of both in a ready-to-shoot package. As part of the SIX8 series, the A5 is a short-stroke, gas piston operated weapon, fully compatible with the 6.8X43mm SPC II cartridge. Its key features include a low profile two-position adjustable gas block that allows for effective use of a suppressor and a 12" SPR-style modular rail system, courtesy of LWRCI.
The A5's proprietary upper and lower receivers come with an enlarged ejection port which ensures the unobstructed ejection of 6.8 casings. The upper rail section is designed with a cutback scallop, a feature that allows for easy access to the low profile gas block while maintaining the full 12" of modular rails on the sides and at the bottom of the hand guards.
The rifle is constructed from super alloy steel – a top choice in the aerospace industry – elevating its reliability and maintenance standards. LWRCI's delivers high-class performance with this model, particularly evident in their gas-piston system, quickly accessible with the loosening of two thumb screws.
The lower receiver prioritizes control with its fully ambidextrous interface, providing bolt catch and release, magazine release, and fire control accessibility from both sides. The LWRCI Enhanced Fire Control Group comes as a standard feature, together with a nickel-boron coated LWRCI Mark II Advanced Combat Bolt in 6.8.
This model boasts an LWRCI NiCorr-treated, cold-hammer forged barrel that is spiral fluted to aid in weight and heat reduction. Also included are an LWRCI high-efficiency 4-Prong flash hider, Skirmish BUIS, and an ambidextrous charging handle. Adding to its ergonomic design, each SIX8 A5 comes with Picatinny rail sections, a black polymer adjustable compact stock from LWRCI, a Magpul MOE+ pistol grip, and a Magpul PMAG 6.8 SPC magazine with a high-visibility follower.
The entire rifle sports a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish on the receiver and handguard and includes a 16.1" heavy barrel. The SIX8 A5 is a symbol of advanced design intricately merged with functionality, boosting performance in every shot.
