Historic Russian M91/30 Mosin Nagant rifle, 5rd Bolt Action 7.62x54R caliber. This particular lot of rifles sold under this SKU are manufactured in the Izevsk Arsenal in Russia and will have the Izhevsk markings on the receiver. They are in *Arsenal Refinished Surplus Fair Condition. See Important Note Below and also refer to our video on these rifles. C & R Eligible Important Note - If the term arsenal refinished fair surplus condition leaves you confused then let me try to explain. These rifles have been arsenal refinished but the rifles did have some use and wear on them at the time that would not allow the arsenal to bring them fully back to 100%. In this instance, this means that when there was rust or pitting on the metal surfaces of the rifles, the pitting was scrubbed clean and refinished over to prevent further corrosion. Any pitting on the barreled action, receiver, or lower portion of the rifle will have been blued over while pitting on the bolts will have been either blued over or clear coated. Please see our Detailed Description Below for more information. Note - these rifles may have some minor non-function inhibiting cracks in the stocks. We also have a hand select option for the best of 10 cosmetically for an additional $30.00. See the custom options below.
M91/30 rifles have become almost non-existent since the Russian imports were suspended a couple of years ago. But here they are in all of their glory....;This particular lot of rifles sold under this sku are in NRA surplus Fair Condition cosmeticallly and should be 100% functional. Important note - These rifles have been arsenal refinished but the rifles did have some use and wear on them at the time. This means that if there was rust or pitting on the metal surfaces of the rifles, the pitting was scrubbed clean and refinished over to prevent further corrosion. Any pitting on the barreled action, receiver, or lower portion of the rifle will have been blued over while pitting on the bolts will have been either blued over or clear coated. The importer based the condition as Good or Fair based on the amount of blued over pitting that is on the rifles. We have examined a number of the rifles and agree with the assessment of the overall condition but please know that you should expect to see at least some arsenal refinished pitting on the rifles primarily on the receivers and/or the bolts. If this is a deal-breaker do not purchase one of these rifles. Having said that, all rifles are safe to fire, fully serviceable, and should make a great addition to any collection. These rifles may have some minor non-function inhibiting cracks in the stocks. Most of what we have seen are not actually cracks but are a minor separation at the dovetail portion of the buttstock which is actually quite common to the M91/30, but there may also be minor cracks in the handguard etc... None of these cracks should be function inhibiting and most should be easily repairable, but again, if a minor cracked stock is a deal breaker do not order.
