The Leupold 174436 is a part of Leupold's comprehensive line of steel detachable accuracy mounts, which have been crafted using the well-known cross slot design. These mounts feature quick release weaver style fittings, equipped with an adjustable dual lever mechanism, ensuring a solid and secure attachment of the rings to the base.
The operation of these mounts is simple - rotate the levers until they lock into place. Notably, the design includes spring loaded levelers which can be efficiently "parked" by pulling out each lever, disabling its connection with the locking screw. This important feature allows you to adjust the levers to a position that suits your preference. Upon finding the ideal setting, you just have to release the levers back into the spring.
