German K98 Rifle - Original German K98 Rifle, 8mm, Bolt Action - W / Peened or Scrubbed Markings. C & R Eligible. This small exclusive lot of German K-98 Rifles contains a mix of war years and pre-war year dates. Overall NRA Good Surplus Condition. Rare and highly collectible. These were "Capture Rifles" and most of the German Nazi Era and Pre-Nazi Era original markings have been removed ( scrubbed ) or peened over. Markings affected may include manufacture dates, factory codes, war eagles, and waffenampts . All rifles are complete and functional but may be missing their capture screws, sight hoods and / or cleaning rods. This group of rifles will include a mixture of laminated and hardwood stocks as well as flat and cupped buttplates. Note - Rifles sold under the base price on this sku will be luck of the draw in regards to manufacture, date, stamping's, stock type, etc. - However, we will be posting some of the more collectible rifles along with brief descriptions of each under our custom option tab below at an additional charge. What a find. These only come along once in a great while. The rifles are in their original turn in condition and average NRA Surplus Good. Being surplus you can expect the typical digs, dings, dents, scratches, and possibly even minor cracks in the stocks. Bluing will vary but all will show some bluing wear. Rifles in this sku are complete from a functional standpoint and should be great shooters however they may be missing minor non-essential parts such as capture screws, sight hoods, or cleaning rods. For those collectors who are looking for a specific rifle we do have some with the manufacturing codes still intact. These can be chosen under our custom options tab while supplies last. Manufacturing codes include AR, BCD, BNZ, BYF, CE, DOU, DOT, S42, S147, Etc. Being surplus bore conditions will vary and we make no guarantees for Bore condition. We have seen some really nice ones, and we have seen some marginal ones but either way that is luck of the draw. This is a fantastic opportunity to buy one of the most collectible surplus rifles of all time at a great price point. The base price in the ad will reflect a K-98 selected randomly from our inventory. Custom options will list rifles with some of the more collectible manufacturing codes and markings as specifically selected by us.... at a higher price point.
