The Jacob Grey Custom 16UL556N is a groundbreaking Ultralight Rifle, modeled after the next-generation AR-15. The AR-15 rifle utilises a 7075-T6 billet lower receiver, specifically crafted to remove unnecessary material, while strengthening the areas most susceptible to wear and tear. The aesthetic of this rifle is a refined, sleek look, without losing the iconic design of the AR-15 platform.
Its matching billet upper receiver also shows the same thorough design considerations. The rifle is fitted with a 15 free float 7-sided M-LOK handguard as standard. This lightweight handguard gives plenty of opportunities for personalization and the addition of multiple AR-15 rifle accessories.
The 16" barrel, chambered in 5.56 NATO boasts a 1:7 twist rate. The barrel is expertly machined from 4150 chrome moly steel, and completed with a black Nitride finish for durability and precision shooting. The barrels are individually matched to the Carpenter 158 bolt for head-spacing, and when combined with the 8620 steel carrier and black Nitride finish, this rifle offers reliable and smooth performance.
Key features include: Lower receiver is made from Billet 7075-T6 aerospace aluminum, laser engraved logo, MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodized finish, compatibility with MIL-SPEC lower receiver parts and sharp edges that are de-burred by hand. For added versatility, it also features a multi-caliber marking, a flared and beveled magwell, set screw installations for bolt catch and an integrated winter trigger guard. The lower receiver weighs in at 7.9oz.
Upper receiver: This piece is compatible with most standard mil-spec handrails with indexing tabs. It's carved out from Billet 7075-T6 aerospace aluminum, implementing Jacob Grey's lightweight design principles. It features M4 feed ramps, machined T-marks, a laser engraved logo and a MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodized flat black finish. Suitably compatible with Jacob Grey Billet dust covers and MIL-SPEC AR upper receiver parts, the upper receiver weighs just 7.7oz.
