The Heckler and Koch 81000286, alternatively known as the VP Series, is renowned as HK's premier striker-fired series since the launch of the P7 series pistols in the 80's. This versatile firearm serves a wide range of applications, spanning from civilian sport shooting to security, military, and law enforcement use.
The VP Series effortlessly fuses a striker firing system with an enhanced, HK "light pull" trigger, boosting fire accuracy and response. Promising longevity and utmost performance, the VP is equipped with HK's cold hammer-forged barrel derived from cannon grade steel. Its polygonal bore profile boosts muzzle velocity, delivering maximum shooting power.
The ergonomic design of HK's handgun grip that encompasses three changeable backstraps and six side panels ensures a comfortable, snug fit for a shooter's hand of any size. The grip also features molded finger grooves for strategic hand positioning and optimal shooting.
The VP doesn't slip in functionalities; it features an extended Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail seamlessly molded into its polymer frame for mounting accessories and lights. Its controls are ambidextrous, making the firearm accessible to all shooters. Of note is HK's innovative rear-mounted charging supports on each side of the slide which amplifies gripping leverage for the smooth operation of racking the slide rearward.
The sturdy machined steel slide takes advantage of HK's rugged environment finish for corrosion and wear-resistance. Moreover, all of its metallic constituents, encompassing springs and pins, are made of superior quality metals for high durability. Rounding off its robust design, the VP Series utilises the tried-and-true HK P30 steel magazines.
