This model is a single curve limited-run model of the popular Ridgeback M4+ level plates, without the M4+ branding. The IVPLATE+ provides maximum coverage with UHMWPE and ceramic tiling covering the entire face of the plate. This is one of if not the strongest body armor plates on the market. The single curve vs the multi-curve is the stand alone difference between this IVPLATE+ model and the very popular Ridgeback M4+. These armor plates are Level IV+ .06 NIJ tested, meaning they are shot with .30 caliber armor-piercing (AP) bullets (U.S. Military designation M2 AP). These plates are constructed of Alumina+PE and are covered in a waterproof polyester/nylon covering.
These are a single curve plate and feature a shooter cut that enables the wearer to have a more free range of motion for the arms and allows for more accessible firearms handling and a more natural shouldering position when firing.
