The inner belt system consists of a low profile “hook” inner belt with a single layer of 1.5" scuba webbing. This results in a system that doubles as a non-metallic EDC belt and is a comfortable and convenient way to cover the abrasive hook portion of the inner belt when flipped inside out. The single layer of scuba webbing allows for a rigid surface for IWB holsters to secure firmly.

TRUE NORTH CONCEPTS MODULAR HOLSTER ADAPTER (MHA):The Modular Holster Adapter was specifically designed to eliminate the unwanted movement, flex and sliding common to factory polymer belt adapters. The Modular Holster Adapter is made from rugged, non-ferrous DFARS grade 6061-T6 aluminum and is Type 3 MIL-SPEC hard coat anodized. It supports the popular “Mid-ride” mode of carry to lower the pistol below the shooters belt line, allowing their holster system to clear body armor and pouches. This adapter fits all “three hole” pattern Safariland™ type holsters, and other brands of holster that use this proven method of attachment. It also supports the use of many commonly used quick detach holster systems such as the QLS, MLS, ELS,  and others. Holsters mounted to the Modular Holster Adapter will accommodate 10° of forward cant and 10° of negative cant for a total range of 20° degrees. The adapter holds three height mounting points, set 1/2″ apart, descending from the top mid-ride mounting point. This allows the user to custom configure their holster’s cant and height based off personal preference and body size/type. 

Rigidity is key:
The adapter includes two belt mounting bars which are sized and spaced for use on MOLLE type battle belts, by threading each bar through the belts PALS webbing. This application works extremely well on the current narrow, minimalist type battle belts used throughout SOCOM and other communities, such as those belts from GBRS Group, Blue Force Gear, AXL, Ronin and Tyr Tactical. Alternatively, these mounting bars can also be directly bolted onto any standard trouser belt or gun belt up to 2 ¼”wide. When properly installed on your gun belt, the adapter will not move. All unwanted movement, slipping and sliding of the holster system has been removed from your system by adding a MHA. The Modular Holster Adapter also includes top mounting points for using a wide array of popular quick release belt mounts such as the Tek-Lok™ and polymer MOLLE type hardware, such as the MALICE clip. Each Modular Holster Adapter comes with a complete hardware kit of various sized screws, posts, spacers and threadlocker for mounting. Note: Please confirm placement of your holster and location on your belt, and once satisfied with the configuration, USE THE INCLUDED THREADLOCKER on all screws to ensure everything stays put. Extended travel in aircraft produces vibration known to back out screws on weapons, the MHA is no different. USE THE INCLUDED THREADLOCKER, especially if you are in the profession of arms.

TRUE NORTH CONCEPTS LEG STRAP ADAPTER (LSK):  The Modular Holster Adapter Leg Strap Kit includes everything necessary to outfit your MHA with a thigh strap. Leg straps first saw widespread use with early American open-top, western-style holsters during the later 1800s and continued to gain popularity during the 20th century. These early straps usually took the form of a simple leather or cord tie-down, and eventually evolved into the wider webbing type straps popularized by the British SAS holsters developed during the 1970s. The remaining two decades of the twentieth century witnessed marginal improvements and design variations of tactical holsters, as militaries reluctantly abandoned antiqued leather designs. Leg strap conversions for the US military-issued UM-84/M12 holsters appeared sometime during the late 1980’s/early 1990s, and the commercial market began to introduce nylon drop leg holsters utilizing two leg straps. During the early years of the GWOT, nearly every drop leg holster on the battlefield featured two leg straps, with many shooters choosing to remove the top strap completely due to chaffing and comfort issues. Today, the majority of America's top shooters choose to run a mid-ride level of drop for their holster, just slightly below the belt line. This has been found to be the ideal location for the pistol to clear body armor and vest-mounted pouches. Although some shooters have turned away from leg straps completely, there are still many that prefer the added stability and reduced movement of their holster by utilizing a leg strap.

The Modular Holster Adapter Leg Strap Kit attaches directly onto the True North Concepts MHA, and for the first time in the history of holsters allows the shooter to choose the height where the leg strap sits. By attaching the specialty leg strap bracket onto the MHA, the leg strap will sit below the bottom edge of the MHA, flush with the bottom of the MHA, or lightly above.  Finally, the shooter can choose the best position for their individual body size and comfort, custom tailoring their setup to their specific needs. Each Leg strap kit includes the specialty bracket designed for the MHA, all necessary attachment hardware, and 1″ wide milspec nylon/elastic leg strap featuring a quick detach Fastex buckle. The minimalistic leg strap provides a generous amount of flexibility and it is recommended that the user try out several height adjustments to see which is most ideal, before securing the hardware with thread locker. The Leg Strap Kit’s specialty bracket is designed to fit a wide array of leg straps, and is cross-compatible with wider, thicker straps such as those from Safariland, Blackhawk, Ronin Tactics, etc.
