This Firearm Will Be Posting In January 2025 - What a unique opportunity on a beautiful and very rare rifle. It's practical too as a long range shooter in a U.S. caliber with a wide range of ammo choices available. Best yet, I know the story on this one since I ordered it direct for myself in the early 90's as a new rifle, and have had it unfired, in my possession, ever since. Yes, that right, it has never been fired. In fact, the scope was in the original serial # matching metal case until I installed it on the rifle to take these images and I debated doing that. However, this rifle just doesn't look complete without the scope. This rifle was imported into the country from North China Industries in the early 90's by Briklee Trading Co. and as a dealer at the time I purchased it directly from them. I don't know how many of these ever made it into the U.S. but it couldn't have been many because they were only produced in small quantities starting in the early 90's and they were then banned from import as part of the Chinese Military Style Arms ban initiated in 1994. The primary serial # on the bottom of the rifles receiver is 100903 and it has 0903 stamped as matching serial #'s on all other non primary serialized parts. Norinco NDM 86 7.62x51mm Made In China is stamped on one side of the receiver, and the import stamp BTC Sel Monte Ca. is on the other. The receiver is milled of course and features the scope rail which the scope is now mounted on. It ships complete with the original Chinese Type JJJ 4x24 illuminated reticle scope with IR filter and the original metal case for the scope. The buttstock is numbered "1000225" and the scope and scope case are factory numbered to match. The number on the stock and scope were not intended as serial numbers and never matched the firearms numbers on these rifles but rather are rack numbers that kept the optic and the scope that was assigned to it together. The rifle is fitted with a flash hider, bayonet lug, smooth finish ventilated forearm and a thumbhole stock with clamp-on cheekpiece and flat steel buttplate. It also ships with a canvas web sling and it includes an extra rubber eye cup, cleaning tools, front sight post adjustment tool, and it has some small parts in a little wooden box compartment inside the scope case. I just don't know what these parts are, but they are cool as heck. In addition the original optics certificate of inspection and authenticity as well as the original scope and rifle owners manuals will be in the scope case. It also comes with one additional 10 round magazine still in the original rust wrap. The rifle will ship in a hard case for maximum protection and we may just leave the scope on the rifle and pad the hack out of it for shipment. I almost think it would be safer there than in the smaller box that the scope case will ship in which may tumble when FedEx gets ahold of it. Either way we will be sure that it is packed properly to protect it's unique value. Bore is pristine of course because it is new. In fact, this will probably be the newest 30 year old rifle you've ever seen. Norinco made these originally in 7.62x54r and then made a few in 7.62x51 due to U.S. civilian market demand for that Nato caliber. I couild have purchased either but at the time I had intended to shoot it and didn't want to put corrosive ammo through it which was about the only choice with 54r. I ended up never firing it, but I'm still glad I made that caliber choice. Norinco produced fewer of them so it is the rarer varient, plus it is far more practical. Actually, I can't believe I'm selling this one but I would rather see someone get it and enjoy it than just to keep pulling it out of the safe and wiping it down every few years which is all I have done with it so far.... but boy did I enjoy doing that. This one requires a full FFL.This rifle has been represented here through images and description with 100% accuracy as I know it and if you are not comfortable buying it based on this information Do Not Make the Purchase. All sales are final on this rifle. The back story. Over the last 30 plus years in the gun business I have acquired some really nice surplus firearms. These guns came from Gun Shows, private collections, and private individuals that I have met along the way, as well as, on occasion, what I would deem as the best of a particular lot when it came in here to Classic. Well, all good things must end and at this point in my life it is time to downsize a little and that includes letting go of some of these "Gun Safe Queens" that I have typically only pulled out to clean ever so often. Now don't get me wrong, there was a time when I would not have even considered giving up one of these firearms as they have been very special to me. However, my daughters show no interest in inheriting them, and I've decided that I would rather see them in the hands of folks that would relish them, than to have them to continue sit in a dark safe here at Classic. Each gun from my private collection is unique and they will sell individually by serial #, so when that gun is gone, it is gone and irreplaceable. At least from me. If you no longer see this rifle in inventory, you will know that it has sold.
