Foxtrot Mike Products is a company that has become synonymous with innovation, and quality. We are pleased to say they have done it again, exceeding expectations with their new series of AR9 Hybrid pistols. This FM-MkII Hybrid is absolutely choked full of features that elevate this 9mm PDW above other products on the market today. Foxtrot Mike takes pride in what they manufacture and as such, use the best material possible for their offerings. The upper receiver is made from Billet aircraft grade aluminum, with a Type III Hard Black Anodized finish, while the barrel is 5" 41v50 Black Nitride with 1/2x36 thread pitch and 1:10 twist. The Hybrid AR9 features something that no one else has done in the industry. The lower receiver is made of a durable polymer, which was done so that the pistol grip could be designed to hold a reserve Glock magazine in the grip. The pistol grip functions in a similar fashion to a standard handgun, where the backup magazine in the grip is released using a side button, as you would do with a traditional pistol. This ingenious feature allows you to have a loaded magazine in the magwell ready to fire, and a spare magazine (17rd Glock style magazines fit perfectly) in the grip, keeping your primary reserve magazine with the gun. The FM9H-R54-BS comes with an ambidextrous selector switch, and incredibly enough an ambidextrous bolt hold open. There are not many, if any, AR9 models out there with an ambidextrous BHO lever on the right side of the firearm for quick manipulation. FM Products has made their BHO intuitive and easy to manipulate. This model features the traditional AR T charging handle that most users are familiar with. It also features a 3.75" MLOK Free Float rail system, a multi-positional mil-spec buffer tube (ready for the application of your choice of pistol brace), a blast can, and 1-27rd 9mm Glock style magazine. Weighing in at just 4.9lbs, with an overall length of 20” this lightweight, compact and concealable PDW is the perfect option for home defense, or personal protection while on the go.
