The Remington factory, however, chose a different path. Instead of converting older percussion arms, they started producing their popular New Model Army revolvers as metallic cartridge versions.

Recognizing the historical significance and timeless appeal of these firearms, Cimarron has refined their 1858 models for the needs of today's shooters. The 1858 New Model Army comes in standard blue, featuring an octagon barrel, and is equipped with ejector rods.
