The AS622, a Cimarron Model 1892 rifle, is produced based on the patents of John Browning from 1884. These were the same patents responsible for the creation of the earlier and larger Model 1886 rifle.
The Model 1892 was presented by Winchester as a replacement for the older Model 1873, featuring popular calibers that had already been proven successful in the Model 1873.
