Cimarron AS188645-70PG: This is a reproduction of one of the most iconic rifles of the old west and the world over. With a design inspired by John Browning himself and the history of Teddy Roosevelt behind making the 45-70 a popular cartridge in big game hunting on his famous travels to Africa. Cimarron claims that their reproduction of the original is every bit as strong and accurate as the original. This 1886 features an 8 round capacity and an octagonal 26" barrel to propel a .45 caliber projectile as far as you need it to go. The design is accentuated by the case hardened receiver, blued barrel, and warm walnut stock, just as you would expect in a lever-action rifle. It also has a crescent steel butt plate, semi-buckhorn rear sight, and a blade front sight to round out the package. Whether you are going to use this for target, display, or big game hunting just as our former president did, owning an icon like this is the envy of any collector.
