The Browning 035544294 X-Bolt is an innovative evolution of previous Browning rifles with added enhancements that make it unparalleled in its class. One of the major improvements is the new three-lever Feather Trigger, renowned for its smooth, crisp pull without any take-up or creep and negligible overtravel.
For enhanced stability, the X-Bolt is free-floated by bedding both the front and rear of the action. This method also assists in maintaining consistent accuracy via steady barrel to stock spacing. An embedded muzzle crown is incorporated into the design for protection of the rifling against possible damage.
Contributing to the overall user comfort is the Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Its specially designed construction and material allow for a directional deflection of recoil forces. This pulls the stock comb away from your face, considerably reducing any felt recoil and muzzle climb.
The rifle includes an added safety feature: a bolt unlock button that works in tandem with the top-tang safety to ensure safe inspection and unloading of the chamber.
