This ingenious addition offers a smooth, sharp pull without any take-up or creep, and reduces overtravel to a minimum.
One of the key attributes of the X-Bolt is its ability to remain free-floated. This is achieved by bedding both front and rear of the action, which not only ensures stability but also helps preserve the barrel-to-stock spacing for consistent accuracy. The durable recessed muzzle crown aids in safeguarding the rifling from potential damage.
Comfort meets functionality with the X-Bolt's inclusion of a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, built with a unique construction and material. This element ingeniously deflects recoil forces in a specific direction, pulling the stock comb away from the shooter's face. The result of this is a considerable reduction in both felt recoil and muzzle climb.
For an added layer of safety during the supervision and unloading of the chamber, the X-Bolt incorporates a bolt unlock button. This button works in harmony with the top-tang safety.
