The Browning 035540282 is an evolution in the Browning rifle series, known as the X-Bolt, that introduces numerous advancements, setting a new standard in the industry. Key among these is the introduction of the innovative three-lever Feather Trigger that ensures a smooth, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and significantly reduced overtravel.
To aid in precision and stability, the X-Bolt design incorporates free-floating mechanics, achieved by bedding both the front and rear of the action. This maintains consistent accuracy by preserving the barrel to stock spacing. Additionally, the incorporation of a recessed muzzle crown plays a crucial role in protecting the rifling from any potential damage.
The X-Bolt rifle is equipped with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, uniquely designed and constructed to deflect recoil forces directionally. This innovative feature propels the stock comb away from the face, resulting in a significant decrease in felt recoil and muzzle climb.
For added safety during the checking and unloading of the chamber, the X-Bolt also features a bolt unlock button that works harmoniously with the top-tang safety.
