The Beretta J42XS28, also referred to as the A400 Xtreme shotgun, is an excellent choice for different shooting activities such as upland or waterfowl hunting, as well as target shooting. Its semi-auto action ensures rapid follow-up shots and comes with integrated rails that allow for smooth mounting of optics. It boasts a unique feature known as Blink technology, which allows for shooting speeds that are 36 percent faster compared to other semiauto shotguns.
The shotgun features a synthetic stock that merges Beretta's Kick-Off system with an ultra-soft Micro-Core butt-pad. This combination helps to significantly reduce recoil, with a design that recoils parallel to the cheek mount. In addition, the OptimaBore HP barrel has a superior finish characterized by resistance against elements such as water, powder, sand, and salt spray.
More exceptional features of the A400 Xtreme Plus include Beretta's proprietary Steelium Plus barrel, which guarantees the best patterning achievable with all hunting loads while also helping to further minimise felt recoil. The barrel is fitted with a stepped rib that has an integral mid-bead and fiber optic front bead, as well as extended forcing cones.
The stock of the shotgun sports a soft comb that further lessens the recoil felt on the shooter's cheek.
