The Barrett 18496 MRAD is masterfully designed for both precision and adaptability, making it a superb choice for a day at the range or for professional use. The upper receiver of the MRAD is expertly machined from 7000-series aluminum and it includes a comprehensive M1913 Picatinny top rail with a built-in taper, which is perfect for long-distance accuracy. The hand guard is graced with mounting slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, presenting a high-performing, versatile interface for attaching rails, electro-optics, and various other accessories.
One of the stand-out features of the MRAD is the user-changeable barrel system which allows a quick and simple conversion to one of 8 different calibers or multiple barrel lengths by just loosening two bolts with a standard Torx wrench— no need for a gunsmith. The lower receiver houses a fully adjustable match-grade trigger module, facilitating users to customize their desired pull perfectly.
The MRAD's stock is designed to fold on the right side, diminishing its overall width for convenient transportation and storage. When extended, the stock locks securely forming a rigid and stable interface, comparable to any fixed-stock rifle. Offering tool-less length of pull and cheek piece height adjustment, the MRAD effortlessly adapts to shooters of all shapes and sizes.
Adding to its impressive features is the ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, a left/right swappable thumb safety and AR15/M16 pistol grips, making the MRAD an excellent firearm for both right and left-handed shooters.
