The Barrett 18493 MRAD is a firearm meticulously crafted for both accuracy and modularity, making it suitable for range shooting or duty use. The upper receiver of this rifle is carved out of 7000-series aluminum, which includes a full-length M1913 Picatinny top rail designed specifically for long-range precision. The MRAD's handguard, with mounting slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, provides a rigid and versatile interface for attaching rails, electro-optics, and a variety of accessories.
A standout feature of the MRAD is its user-changeable barrel system. With just a standard Torx wrench and loosening of two bolts, you can swiftly and conveniently convert the MRAD to one of eight different calibers or vary the barrel length - all without the need for a gunsmith. Inside the lower receiver, you will find a fully adjustable match-grade trigger module, permitting the user to effortlessly adjust their desired pull.
The MRAD stock is designed to fold on the right side, significantly reducing its overall width for easy transport. When extended, the stock securely locks in place, offering an interface as rigid and stable as any fixed-stock rifle. With no-tools-required adjustments for length of pull and cheek piece height, the MRAD can be tailored to fit shooters of all sizes and shapes.
The MRAD is also geared with an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, a swappable left/right thumb safety, and AR15/M16 pistol grips, catering perfectly to both right and left-handed shooters.
