I really like these rifles. They have really nice wood, a beautiful metal finish, and the fit and rivet work is excellent. To me these American Made AK-47 Rifles by I.O. are the finest bang for the buck of any AK type rifle on the market today. Each rifle comes complete with one 30 round mag and includes an integrated scope rail. Beautiful wood furniture with a proprietary matching polymer grip... 7.62x39 caliber, Accepts all high cap mags and drums. The Sporter rifle is semi-automatic, long-stroke piston-operated rifle which is chambered in the traditional 7.62x39mm cartridge. The construction and design is based directly from Polish AKM blueprints. The Sporter also features several upgrades over the traditional AK, including a CNC-machined scope mount rail on the left side of the receiver, a recoil buffer, an extended mag release, and a bolt hold open safety. The only parts on this rifle that are not made in the U.S. are the beautiful laminated wood furniture sets which are custom made in Poland. The sights on these rifles are checked for straightness by putting each rifle in a fixture and shooting a laser beam down the sight plane... If the beam does not fall true on the sight path, the rifle does not ship. This prevents canted sights and allows the rifle to come outof the box closer to zero. These are super nice.
